Webex Events

[updated June 8, 2020] Cisco Webex® Event Center is intended for conference /presentation style type events when you want to engage more attendees. Event Center features integrated video and audio to allow participants to see and hear presenters and panelists in high resolution.

Info for Event Hosts


  1. Go to
  2. Click the Sign-in button

  3. Enter your Sheridan email address and click Next.

  4. You will be directed to Sheridan's Single Sign-On page. Enter your Sheridan username and password and click Login.

  5. Once logged in, you will be on your Webex home screen. Select the link, Webex Events.

  6. Under the Host an Event panel on the left-side navigation choose, Schedule an Event.

  7. Complete the information in the scheduling form. At the very least, you need to specify an event name, an event password, and a date and time. You can also configure details such as event description and options; attendee and registration options; presenter & panelist options; and email messages and reminders. Click the Schedule this Event button when done.

  8. A summary of your event details will be presented. From here you can manage registrations, edit event details, delete the event (if necessary) and start it when the time comes.

    DO NOT USE THE SEND EVENT EMAILS FUNCTION as mail is not bound to our Outlook service at this time. Copy the event information highlighted below and paste it into your email client to send to attendees and panelists. Note that there are unique event addresses and passwords for attendees and panelists - make sure you send the right info to the right groups, and NEVER send panelist details (meeting address/password) to attendees.

Info for Event Attendees

About Webex Events for attendees…

  • Participant's audio input/video is muted by default for Events
  • Event attendees are only visible to other meeting panelists. Event attendees will only see other attendees in the list if the event host allows it – best practices dictate that attendees NOT be displayed.
  • Questions or comments for meeting hosts must be sent through the Q&A panel
