[updated March 18, 2020] Cisco Jabber puts your Sheridan phone extension on your computer* and delivers voice and video calls, voice messaging, desktop sharing, and conferencing. Text messaging is also available but functionality is limited and is not in real time.
Note: regardless of your location, all calls started through Jabber originate from an Oakville telephone exchange.
* Please note that our current focus is on delivering the Jabber desktop app at this time. We be looking to delivering functionality for Jabber mobile apps (iOS/Android) in the future.
All Sheridan employees who currently have a desktop phone or mobility extension have already been provisioned with Jabber accounts. If you run into issues or if you do not have a Jabber account, but would like one, contact the IT Service Desk.
