[updated November 24, 2021] We know many users are excited to upgrade to Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 11. Please be aware that Windows 11 is not yet officially supported at Sheridan and we do not recommend that users upgrade to it at this time.
To avoid compatibility issues, stick to a College-supported Windows version – Widows 10 (Pro or Education).
The list of applications noted in the Testing Results table below features some of the more popular titles used at Sheridan and is by no means inclusive. If you are required to run program or course-specific software, be sure to check out the developer's web site or ask your course instructor about compatibility with Windows 11.
Although we have not yet completed testing Windows 11 within Sheridan's environment, the following chart will detail what we know will and won't work based on our testing efforts to date. This page will be updated as testing scenarios are completed.
