[updated November 4, 2021] We know many users are excited to upgrade to Apple's latest operating system, macOS 12, Monterey. Please be aware that Monterey is not yet officially supported at Sheridan and we do not recommend that users upgrade to it at this time.
To avoid compatibility issues, stick to a College-supported macOS – 10.15 (Catalina) > macOS 11.6 (Big Sur).
The list of applications noted in the Testing Results table below features some of the more popular titles used at Sheridan and is by no means inclusive. The resource links provided will give you with more details about Monterey and supported applications. If you are required to run program or course-specific software, be sure to check out the developer's web site or ask your course instructor about compatibility with macOS Monterey.
Although we have not yet completed testing Monterey within Sheridan's environment, the chart below details what we know will and won't work based on our testing efforts to date. This page will be updated as testing scenarios are completed.
