Ransomware – One Wrong Click Can Be Costly

image of screen displaying text: Ransomware Attack - you only have 3 days to submit payment or your files will be lost[October 22, 2020] Ransomware is malicious software used by cybercriminals that infects a computer and displays messages demanding the victim pay a fee in order to access their system/files again. They may also threaten to publish his/her data online.
Ransomware is a class of malware that can be installed through deceptive links in an email message, instant message, or website. There are several things the malware might do once it’s taken over a victim’s computer, but the most common consequence is to encrypt some or all of the user's files.
