The instructions below will show you how to configure the GREEN print queues for use with Sheridan's Lexmark printers.
After installing the 'Green' queue some users have expressed confusion when they encounter the Windows print queue (see example below).
By default, all print jobs submitted to the Green queue will appear in the print queue window.
Rather than 'Paused' you should think of this status as 'Jobs pending release'. Every job in the queue will indicate a status of Paused until it has been:
If you are a user who typically refers to the print queue window to verify the release of your print job, you can likely ignore it from now on. The only information the print queue window provides is a list of jobs submitted to the queue, who submitted them and the time the print job was submitted. For privacy and security reasons, document names are always hidden.
Once the print queue has been configured on your computer, you can print to a secure access printer.
You can log-in to the Printing Services web page to view details about your printing account. You can also manage print jobs that have not yet been printed by selecting the "Jobs Pending Release" link. For example, if you accidentally choose to print the same job twice, you can go to the "Jobs Pending Release" page and remove any documents from the queue that you do not want printed by clicking the "cancel" link under the "Action" column.
