Connecting to the "Sheridan Secure Access" with OS X

These instructions are for Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. Follow these instructions to configure Mac OS X to connect to the "Sheridan Secure Access" wireless network on campus using Cisco-PEAP.

Configure "Sheridan secure access" on Mac OS X 10.3 (or higher)

You have to be on campus within the range of the “Sheridan secure access” network for these instructions to work.

  1. In the upper right hand corner of your screen click on the Airport icon and select Sheridan Secure Access
  2. User Name: enter your Sheridan account user name
  3. Password: enter you Sheridan account password
  4. Click OK

  5. A certificate window will appear, click Show Certificate.
  6. Confirm the certificate is and issued by GeoTrust . Click Continue.

  7. Click Continue. If you receive an ”Authentication failed” message, please make sure that you are using the correct username and password.

  8. Click on the Airport icon again. You should now see that you are connected to the “Sheridan Secure Access” network. wireless connected
