Outlook Issue: Keeping Names in the BCC Field Private

When sending email messages to a group of recipients, some users utilize the BCC (blind carbon copy) field to hide the recipients list from other users. It has come to our attention that, in some cases, if you are using Outlook as your mail client and you leave the TO field empty, the email addresses in the BCC field are sometimes visible to the recipients of the message. Spam filters can also flag your email as junk if the TO field is empty.

To keep the contents of the BCC field private and keep your sent mail from being flagged as junk, make sure you enter at least one recipient name in the TO field. The easiest thing to do is to use your own email address.
