Configuring the Outlook App on an Android Device

Follow the instructions below to configure your Sheridan email account for the Microsoft Outlook app on your Android device.

  1. Launch the Outlook app and tap the GET STARTED button.

  2. Enter your Sheridan email address and tap CONTINUE. Be sure to type your email address as (as opposed to Tap CONTINUE.

  3. Tap the ADVANCED SETTINGS switch at the bottom of the screen. Make sure the fields are completed as illustrated below. Tap the checkmark when you are done.
    • Email address: your Sheridan email address
    • Server:
    • Domain\Username: shernet\username
    • Description: use whatever identifier you like (e.g. Sheridan)

  4. Your account should now be added. Tap SKIP to complete the set-up or choose CONTINUE if you have other email accounts you wish to add.

  5. If this is your first time using the Outlook app you will be offered a quick tour. You can take the tour or tap SKIP to go directly to your email.

  6. Your Sheridan email may take a few minutes to load. If you're not seeing your mail within a couple of minutes tap the menu icon next to Inbox then tap the Inbox menu item. You should now be able to see your mail.
