Configuring the Default 'Mail' App (Windows 10)

Follow the instructions below to configure your Sheridan Office 365 account for use with the default 'Mail' app on Windows 10.

  1. Click the Windows start menu and choose Settings.
    Start Menu > Settings

  2. Select Accounts.
    Settings>Accounts

  3. Select Add an account

  4. Choose Exchange.

  5. Enter your Sheridan username using the format: username@sheridancollege.ca

  6. Enter your password and click the Sign in button.

  7. You will be prompted to check your information - you will need to specify the domain and your user name. Type your Sheridan user name in the User name field and type shernet in the domain field. Click the Sign in button when done.


  8. Your account is configured and ready for use. Click Done.


  9. The Make my PC more secure prompt will appear. Click Enforce these policies.

  10. Launch the Mail app and click Get started.

  11. Note that your Sheridan Exchange account now appears on the Accounts screen. Click Ready to go to access your mail.

  12. Your Sherian emai account is now setup and ready for use. To access calendar features click the calendar icon at the bottom of the window.

  14. Click Get started.

  15. Click Ready to go.

  16. Your Sheridan calendar is now available. Note that it may take from a few seconds to a few minutes for your calendar to load depending on the number of entries.
