  • Sheridan employees


Full-time Employees

If you are hired as a full-time employee, you will automatically be assigned a network account once your Human Resources record is created. Note that an account cannot be created until you have been assigned a Sheridan employee number.

Part-time Employees

If you are part-time faculty or part-time staff, your manager or his/her designate will need to contact the IT Service Desk to request an email account for you (once a Sheridan employee number has been created for you).

Faculty of Continuing & Professional Studies Instructors

FCAPS instructors are sent a letter with their username and initial password. Alternatively, you may be notified by someone in your faculty.

Key Features

Your Sheridan username and password is used to access a number of Sheridan systems and services, including:

  • Sheridan Secure Access wireless network
  • AccessSheridan (Sheridan's web portal for students & staff)
  • Network printers
  • Sheridan email and calendar
  • Enterprise-licensed software such as Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • PeopleSoft Applications*
  • Network drives
  • Secured web content
  • SLATE (Sheridan Learning & Teaching Environment)

* access to some PeopleSoft applications and/or features may require additional account privileges. See PeopleSher Applications on the Business Systems page for more details.


All Sheridan employees are required to change their password every 120 days. For details see Employee Password Aging: What You Need to Know.

Password Changes/Forgotten Passwords

Attention Laptop Users Running Windows…

If you are using a college-provided laptop running Sheridan's Windows disk image, before changing your password, you will need to do one of the following…



  • Restart your computer and log-in while plugged into an administrative network jack (i.e. like those found in faculty and administrative offices - NOT labs/classrooms) to complete the password change process.

If you are unable to change/reset your password using one of the self-service methods described above you can call the IT Service Desk for assistance.


Phone Support

You may call the Service Desk, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. to request a password change. Due to security reasons we are unable to give out usernames and passwords by email or via online chat.
