As previously communicated, IT staff have migrated the academic and administrative computing infrastructure from the SHERNETXP domain to a new, upgraded domain, SHERNET. If you haven't been on campus since the change and are having trouble connnecting to printers, shared disks or other network services, you will likely need to update your log-in credentials.
You will need to update your log-in credentials for any and all services that are moving from SHERNETXP to the new SHERNET domain.

In most cases, you will be prompted for you new password when you try to access any of these services—anytime you are prompted for a username where you would have entered SHERNETXP, you will now enter SHERNET.
Sharepoint users please note: Sharepoint will remain on the SHERNETXP domain and and your log-in to Sharepoint will continue to be in the form of SHERNETXP\username.
Windows 7 users can take advantage of the Credential Manager to update many or all of their stored network log-in items from one place. Instructions are available at:
Mac users can utilize the Keychain Access program to easily update any credentials that reference the SHERNETXP domain. Instructions are available at:
