WHAT THE TECH IS GOING ON?

Don’t Click Here: Preventing Phishing Attacks

You hold the power to prevent phishing attacks from succeeding by doing one simple thing – not clicking the link in the messages.

Phishing attacks use spoofed emails and fake web sites to fool the recipients into divulging details such as user names and passwords, credit card numbers, social insurance numbers and other personal information.

Be suspicious and vigilant when you receive messages like this:

Authentic messages from Sheridan will never include a link for you to follow and login; we will instead direct you to go to the website as you normally would and login.

Stop 'clicking here' and stop phishing in its tracks!
