Auto Update of Antivirus Software for Staff Desktop Users
[Feb. 21, 2014] This update affects all Sheridan staff that are running Windows-based desktop computers.
Staff users who have a desktop computer running
Windows, please read!
- In order to install the antivirus software you must power off your computer. When you leave for the day on Tuesday, make sure to shutdown your computer.
- The installer is initiated by a startup script—when you turn your computer on Wednesday morning the installer will begin to run.
If the install package detects Symantec Antivirus on your computer, it will automatically be removed. The installer will first remove Symantec, your computer will then reboot and the installation of Trend Deep Security will commence. The entire process takes approximately five minutes.
Laptop users or other users who would prefer to manually install the software on their computers are welcome to do so. Follow Trend Antivirus Available to find out how.
