[June 23, 2021] Due to multiple vulnerabilities discovered in Cisco Jabber for Windows, Jabber for macOS, and Jabber for mobile* platforms, IT is recommending that all users upgrade their Jabber software to the latest patched version.
* Users should be automatically prompted to download updated Jabber mobile apps for their device.
IT will be employing a change on Wednesday, June 23 at 10 p.m. that will automatically prompt Sheridan Jabber users to update their software the next time they launch the desktop Jabber client.
Due to issues with the macOS version of the Jabber client, macOS users must be connected to VPN in order for the update to download successfully.
Windows users can download the update when they are prompted. The software should download successfully whether you are connected to VPN or not.
Alternatively, the latest desktop versions of Cisco Jabber can be downloaded from Sheridan’s AppsAnywhere page.
