Network Upgrades Thursday Night – Intermittent Disruptions
[May 16, 2019] This Thursday, May 16, from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m., IT staff will be making updates to our network firewalls that will result in a few, brief intermittent disruptions.
During this time users connecting to network services may experience brief connectivity issues - up to a minute in length - as upgraded devices reboot.
- Users inside Sheridan will be able to connect to internal college resources (e.g. PeopleSoft applications) without any service disruption
- Users inside Sheridan trying to connect to services hosted outside of the college may experience brief connectivity issues as noted above
- Users outside of the college trying to connect to Sheridan hosted resources during this time may also experience brief connectivity issues
- Note that some services that are hosted externally but rely on Sheridan's Single Sign On (SSO) service for authentication may also be impacted (e.g. SLATE; Office 365).
