Sheridan Podium TrainingSheridan has one of the largest and most advanced mobile computing programs in Canada, with over 9,000 students benefiting from the integration of laptop computers into their learning experience. All students in a Mobile Computing program at Sheridan are required to own a laptop that complies with their program's hardware and software standards.

For information about Mobile Computing fees, please see the Academic Fees page. Note that laptops may not be rented or purchased from Sheridan.

Be Ready for Your First Class: Attend a Laptop Readiness Session

[Dec. 19, 2017] All Mobile Computing students – even the most technology savvy – are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Laptop Readiness Sessions that will be held in January. These are short, but important sessions where you will log into Sheridan's network with your laptop and install software required for your courses.

Laptop Precheck Now Available

[Aug. 14, 2017] The Pre-Check utility for students starting a Mobile Computing program in September is now available. Pre-Check is a software utility that will determine if your hardware and operating system are acceptable for your Mobile Computing program. You will be able to run this utility anywhere you have an internet connection – on or off campus.
