Windows 10 [July. 31, 2015] Microsoft has released new operating system – Windows 10 on July 29, 2015 as a free upgrade to qualified users.

Windows 10 will not be supported at Sheridan for the start of the 2015 Fall term.

Non-support means:

The Sheridan community is advised that Windows 7 continues to be the supported platform in all teaching and learning spaces as well as on all employees’ technological platforms

Students registered in mobile programs can expect support for both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 for the start of the Fall term. Windows 10 will not be supported.

Sheridan IT will work diligently throughout the Fall term on testing over 60 academic applications, printing and other academic and administrative software packages and configurations on Windows 10 platform. The results of this testing will drive the levels of support for Windows 10 beginning in the Winter term – January 2016.
