Enabling Automatic Failover of Internet Router – Internet Services Unavailable

[June 22, 2015] On Monday, June 29 at 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30 IT staff will be enabling and testing automatic failover of our internet router.

Currently the majority of our internet traffic is routed through a firewall and internet router located at the Hazel McCallion campus. If this router fails we have to go through a lengthy manual process to failover to the internet router and firewall at the Trafalgar campus.  Implementing automatic failover makes this process much quicker.

During this 4-hour service period internet services across all campuses will be unavailable.
